You have put on some mass. I would recommend eating more. Your workout is probably adequate but you are probably not getting enough calories to gain mass.

psst. . . Do you remember from you english classes - i before e except after c. Look at your signature and note the spelling errors.

i agree it looks like you have gained some mass, but you are still very lean, so upping the calories won't hurt you. Eat up!

Looking good !

thanks both lady C & minime. the small amount of muscle i was able to obtain in the last few months has been hard to get so i'm glad to hear its visible!

as for my trainning, i wish i could take the volume down a bit. i am now teaching competiteve gymnastics 2-3 times a week, pluse trying to get a day here and there in for my own training at the gymnastics center plus all the time i spend it the gym is proving to be a bit to much on my body. i assume thats why i was able to gain weight and loose bf% in the same timeframe.

as for my diet. your both right i probably should be forcing a few hundred more cals but with all the heat i'm finding it extreamly difficult just to consume my average daily intake. i guess its time to try harder here

Well, here is my .02 cents worth...

I would simply concentrate on working your entire body with the basic compound lifts. Eat clean and eat big. You look as if you have an ectomorphic body type, so eating a lot of clean calories and following a strict meal timing plan will help you pack on a ton of quality lean muscle very steadily.

You sound like you are very active outside of your weight training, so make sure you fuel your body adequately to handle the amount of calories you burn each day...and make sure there is some left over for growing new muscle. Keep your protein intake high and experiment with your complex carb intake. Keep your complex carbs geared around your meals when you are most active throughout the day, as well as breakfast and pre/post workout.

Keep your workouts intense, heavy, yet brief in time. Don't do long marathon workouts...I'd say 1 hour to 1 hour 15 mins of heavy training each session is enough for you to make your muscles grow.

Your body look fairly proportioned, so just make sure you do the compound lifts for each body part and be consistent. I believe your body will respond fairly fast if you do all this. Great job so far though, you look great.

New Photos.

These were originaly pictures I took for the upcomming contest but sinse their is no national newspaper I cant use them for that, but at least I can still use them to messure my own personal progress... so here they are once again..

Front pose: unflexed.
\
Back pose: unflexed.

Front Pose: Flexed

Back Pose: (flexed)

Unfortunatly I am using differnt poses (due to competition rules) than my previously taken progress pictures, so their not optimal for comparison. I think their is some improvment to be seen with these new photos though. A slightly thicker core and slightly more defined Lats are mainly what I am seeing.

also the lighting in the front pose (flexed) takes away from my overal definition, witch I had no problim with due to the goal of the contest they were taken for.

hoppfully I can get some usable contest photos as well as some updated pogress photos before that end of the month, In the meantime though, let me know what you think!

original Back Photo: January/07

New Photo: December1/07

Let my know if you guys see muscle development between these two pictures. (these were the best for direct comparison out of what I had)

Personally I see (although minimal) an overal improvment of all the major muscles of the back. Increased rear delt size, lat definition & size, Increased lower back definition, I also noticed more muscle over both scapulas (shoulder blades) than the first photo.

I would love to believe, most everyone agrees with me.. but of course if you do not share my opinions please let me know. I love a little constructive criticism now and then..

Umm yeah. You are doing great. Just keep following the advice Todd gave you. If you can't find a national paper (USA today is about $0.75) then get a local one. Just don't miss the close up on the paper so we can see the date.

Best wishes for your continued progress.

Looks good, not to criticize or anything but do you work on your back much? Compared to your shoulders and Arms your back looks very small.

You want to be even of course, no chicken legs and big upper body, no tree trunks and a bird chest! (Not saying thats you) just saying you should be a little more proportional.

Here's a recent picture of me last June

thanks for the reply MCSfactory. are you being sarcastic about my back? I ask because it is my most developed and strong muscle group.. I deadlift 315 for reps but can hardly bench 185x1.. not only that but I tend to work my back more than other muscle groups due to the fact i enjoy it more.

if you read this it would be great to know if you really meant what you said cause most people i know have the exact opposite opinion

does anyone ellse agree with his statement??

I agree to a certain extent, it seems like you're squeezing your shoulderblades together when you're flexing your back. Try getting another picture up but don't squeeze your shoulderblades together, it makes your lats disappear.

I can clearly see that your lats are bigger than what they were...... but yea, you need to work on your chest...... sorry homie, you ever do chest and back together on some days, just focus primarily on them.... I like to do a few exercise for the chest and do DB pullovers..... its perfect going into a back routine immediately following..... you look good tho bro

That picture is a poor example of being porportional due to the fact I only see the upper anterior portion of your body. That was the point you were trying to make no?
