Red face

old before & after thread

Hi all, I've finally plucked up the courage to put up a picture of myself.

I hate having my photo taken at the best of times!

Ok, I'm 32, 6ft 1in, 187lbs and I've used my neck, waist and height measurements to roughly calculate my body fat at 18%.

I've been lifting for 10 weeks now and my aim is to loose some fat (about 10lbs) and get really lean. So far I've lost an inch off my waist and put an inch on my biceps, but I've got a long way to go before I'll be happy.

Cheers,

Gaffer.

Well, you're 10 weeks closer than if you'd just sat on your duff. Keep up the clean eating (along with the lifting, of course) and you'll be there in no time! Good luck! (I don't know what to say about that face of yours though... hehe.)

Yeah, looking stylin.

You'll like swapping 10 lbs of fat and muscle. Don't be surprised if you don't lose much, but you'll lose plenty of fat.

Keep us updated.

Thanks for the kind words guys.

I'll be honest and say that my motivation started dwindle a few weeks ago because I was getting frustrated and confused.

However since finding this forum my motivation has shot up and the gains are coming through, thanks to you guys.

Cheers,

Gaffer.

These were taken yesterday. Overall I'm pleased with my progress, especially as I'm only into week 14 and I've never ever been in a gym, nor do I use/own a bench!

Sorry ~ice~ for the slow reply!!

I mainly use Bent-Over BB Rows, Shrugs, DB Rows (love 'em!) and Upright Rows (hate 'em!). I use these exercises as I don't have a bench nor do I go to a gym.

Hope that helps,

Gaffer.
