Just for Reference...

While I don't have any "before" pictures to measure progress, I will use this as my starting point for progress pics going forward from now. Unfortunately I only have one good shot to put in for now, hopefully I will get some more up when my camera is functional again.

This is a back shot from a couple days ago. Some time from now I will try to do the same pose to check out my progress.

Here goes:

Nice upper body. Start working on your core and get that middle area thicker and then you'll be looking beastly.

thanks guys! I wanted to just put something up here so I can come back to it a few months from now and see how I've gone since then. I always considered my back to be a weak point for me, so for all the kind words from you guys, I guess I must be doing something right :

One of these days when I get a new camera, (and grow some balls, lol), I'll post a front shot.

3Norns--clawmarks...lol!! I think that is actually from one of the benches I was laying on the other day at the gym, or maybe that was from the other night when me and my wife got drunk and umm.....never mind

Firehawk--yes the core, the core...working on it dude! Going to focus on a lot of posterior work for now to try and bring it up a bit. right now I am not doing regular deads, rather I am doing good mornings, SLDLs and squats, plus lots of crunches for my core. Before you rag me about not doing deads, I have come to realize my lower back cannot handle heavy deads and squats in the same week. It just doesn't work, my lower back just wound up too beat up from it. So I will squat for a while....then I will deadlift for a while, squat, deadlift. I am having too much fun squatting right now to change, but when I hit the wall on those, I'll go back to deads....

Yes, my delts look kinda big, but I know I need to work on my rear delts a bit more...the front is overpowering compared to the sides and rears, but yeah, it was fun putting up those 90s the other day!

add sled-dragging: it'll increase your endurance and ALL lifts will go up

Didn't I tell ya a long time ago not to train heavy squats and heavy deads in the same week? :

The way I do it is alternate weekly, train squat heavy and then the following week train heavy deads with some light squatting, usually speed reps, before i deadlift.

That's what i've been taught to do at the gym. Don't worry, if you want bigger rear delts, then do alot of rows for the back. They'll come in more. You got a real nice upper build. You get everyting else built to that level and you'll be scary on the ice fo sho~!

Whatcha talking about?? I'm already scary on the ice, lol

I know you alternate deads and squats heavy, right now instead of alternating weekly, I'd rather just work one up till I get bored of it, then switch to the other till I get bored, etc etc....I guess that could work too no?
by the way, 275 for 8 on squats yesterday kicked my ass, but was oh so fun, lol, especially the feeling of my heart about to explode through my chest

One compliments the other. When your squat goes up it helps you get the deadlift off the floor. Do both.

sigh
