My new pics
I took some new pics today after working out. I'm now at a point where I'm considering bulking up after cutting for the last few months. I started out at 16% BF and got down to 12%. (where im currently at) My goal originally was to get down to 10% and then to start bulking but i'm kinda of torn between that extra 2% or should I just bulk and build my muscles to the point that when I cut again later and even at the same 10 to 12% im at now i'll look better due to the increase in muscle mass. What do you folks think? Wait and get down that extra 2%? BTW...I can't believe how hard it is to get rid of love handles!

You are progressing nicely. Keep up the good work. As far as going on a bulking cycle it's really up to you. 2% seems like a very small amount, but I know how hard it is to lose that last little bit. You could always chalk it up to caliper error and just SAY you're at 10% .

Looking good.
What tool do you use for counting body fat? I never counted my body fat when I started lifting 5 months ago?
MC.

To everyone thats replied, Thanks! At the gym I go to they have one of those scales that gives you a bodyfat readout. I'm tempted to get that extra %2 to maybe see a six pack but once I hit that mark im going to start bulking right away and that will probably make the 6 pack disappear till I cut again..decisions, decisions

i would bulk , for every 1lb of muscle you burn an extra 50 cals so when you get to a good size it should be easier for you to cut in

Thanks thats exactly the type of fact based opinon I was looking for!
Now another question though...I know it differs from person to person but if I bulk cleanly (give or take a few cheat days) how much can I expect my BF% to rise during this period?

well when i bulked, i went up 5 % bf, but i also stopped smoking, so this alone adds upto 14lbs in weight, mostly fat, i have been bulking again but getting all my carbs before 7pm, i am now @ 12% bf, from 16, but if you add cardio you can keep more or less the same as you are now,

sounds good...if I can hover around this 12% that would be cool..I guess its safe to say than that if I choose to do cardio and keep my BF % somewhere close to where im at now the results will come on slower than a all out bulk? Also as far a supplement wise......Creatine and Protien shakes should be sufficient for wanting to gain mass but the least amount of BF possible? Also are weight gainers worth taking for what I want to do? Sorry for all the questions...I've finally seen gains and I don't want to mess up what i've done when I swith the routine a bit. This will be the first time i've ever gained weight "on purpose" :0

i used weight gainers, easy way to add an extra 1000 cals perday, but it is a quick way to add fat too, if you want to bulk clean it will take longer to grow, but you havent got to worry too much fat about after, stick with the protein, try and add some egg whites to some half fat milk and a bannana everyday. blended you will get some excellent carbs/protein from that, just remember to do some light cardio 2 times per week to keep everything at bay, and your metabolisim churning
