My Weight Loss Pics

I've just recently gotten started with fitness. I must say that I've become addicted. I no longer consider my diet a diet, rather a permanent lifestyle change.

Here is a link to my before and after pictures. Look at the diet section on the page. I lost a total of 61 lbs in approximately 90 days. Nothing fancy, just exercise and no more greasy / unhealthy foods.

When I reached my weight goal, I shifted from mostly cardio activities to mostly lifting. I've only been at the lifting since early November, but I am seeing small changes already. There seems to be lots of good info here on building muscle mass. That is my next goal.

Congratulations on your success man! That's alot of weight to drop. Good luck in your quest to build muscle mass, that's the hardest part in my opinion.

Thanks for the words. Dieting can be contagious to some people. Someone inspired me to do it, and my weight loss results are responsible for the weight loss of a few co-workers. The floor I work on at the office is over 100 lbs lighter between me and a few buddies.

I am doing the creatine / protein supplement thing and lifting as much as possible, while allowing for adequate recovery in between workouts. I've got to develop a good workout for myself. Right now, I just lift different things unti l I can't anymore, recover, and then do it again.

I hate asking questions without 'RTFM'ing', so I'm sure I'll figure it out.

Congratulations Brian! You're doing great.
For an awesome workout, check out the threads for the Max OT program.
Everything is spelled out for you. What to do, when to do it and the proper order.
If you're interested, send me an e-mail at albear1966@comcast.net and I will forward you an Excel spreadsheet that I created for the program.
There are tabs for each day's workout.
They're not great, I'm not too good with using Excel, but they're workable.
I copied/pasted proper technique "tips" from another bodybuilding site with each exercise. During the rest periods, I re-read the tips to focus on keeping proper form.

If anyone else is interested in the spreadsheets, or is Excel savy and wants to clean them up and post for everyone, please let me know.

Al

Here's some good workout routines to checkout, by the local guru Cursor.

Cursor's 3 day, 4 day, and 5 day splits
