Once again, its on 2005 Show Prep!

Well ladies & gents its that time of year again, time to get into contest shape. This year I am learning from the mistakes of last year's prep and making a few changes. I over dieted and performed too much cardio last time, coming in wayyyy too light (here is last season's thread ). This time I want to come in a full and dense as possible. Your feedback last year was very supportive and useful, especially during the tough times.

Here are some shots 11 weeks out taken right after my first 20 minute sprinting session. I weigh around 205lbs, down from 212lbs on July 4th. Yes, I know it may seem like I am dropping weight too fast, but all I did was stop eating junk, so the weight lost was basically "junk weight".

I will try to update every 1-2 weeks and also include some full body shots so you can see the wheels.

I am not going to drop my carbs as low as last time or do as much cardio.....it just flattens me out too much. I will drop my fat intake very low and see how my body reacts.

I am also training each body part 2x per week Monday Lower Body, Tuesday Upper, Wednesday Off, Thursday Lower Body, Friday Upper Body, Weekends Light Cardio. I am keeping the intensity moderate to high while keeping the total volume fairly low.

We will see how it all comes together.

That sounds like a winner of a plan. The 'cardio for direct fat-burn' is not the solution for me. Some, but not too much. It makes for a great metabolism kick on off-days. Smart dietary control over time, combined with intelligent resistance training (considering both volume & intensity) is the ideal combination.

I know what you mean by the low carbs flattening you out. I felt like a tank about 10 days after the end of my cut when I started getting a good amount of carbs and calories back into my diet. By the way, your lats and the peak on your biceps are awesome! My lats need some serious mass.

Cool to see you preparing for yet another competition, I will most definitely follow your progress all the way to showtime. I am eager to see how well you dial it in using your gained experience and lessons learned from last year! You look phenomenal MM.

Have fun and enjoy the journey!

Its a small NPC show, same one I did last year NPC Greater Hollywood Open. May do the MuscleMania Tampa the next week also, we will see once the time gets closer.

Looking sharp as always.

You really don't get far off competition shape in your off season. Here's hoping you find the control you need to stay thick.

I'll be watching.

You're looking pretty impressive already MostMuscle, just wondering out of curiousity, what are your measurements currently? and like by how much do they drop from pre contest to contest day?
Thanks . and keep up the great work and kick some ass!

MM, you got some awesome upper chest cuts. It looks really nice coming out of the traps/neck and shoulders, your chest just chisels out so nicely. Keep up the great work and hope you keep updating us as your quest continues
