Pseudonym - square 1/2
OK guess I should update the text as well, heh heh heh.
This folks is what 8 weeks of MAX-OT does to a skinny ectomorph on a rice diet .
Net gain a tad over 3kg on the scale, at least some of that has got to be muscle.
Other important improvements
Bench: 33kg - 68kg
Squat: 55kg - 90kg
Deadlift: never done - 95kg
Scaling back to a three day more PL oriented split now to help push my lifts into more respectable numbers (and the size that will inevitably build will be a nice side-effect ).
23 JUN 2005 64 odd Kg
25 AUG '05 67.3kg

Looking good bud, definitely toned. Comments really depend on your goals? Are you looking to just stay in shape or do you want to start slabbing on the ginormous muscles?
Overall I would say add more weight. Whatever you're doing seems to be even and uniform but from the looks of it a tad on the easy side of intense. Crank out 6x reps if you have to with a lot more weight than you could normally handle.
Intensity makes imensity!

well I have resigned myself to the fact I will never be a pro bodybuilder (lucky for me I don't want to be ), my goals are really just to hit 75kg (that's 10 more kilo's, or 22 more pounds) and keep my BF% about where it is now (and a bit lower in beach season : ). Right now I am looking to put on some good base mass/strength as a basis for further weight training in the future (rekon if I can put on 5kg of muscle this year I should be setup for a big 2006).
I recently (at the start of this week) changed my routine, on the advice of the folk here, to a MAX-OT esque 6 reps to failure sort of program (which I am still fine tuning at the mo). I was a dedicated 8-10 reps man until now so we'll see how the new approach goes (when I say dedicated I mean that's what I did my first 6 weeks in the gym lol ).
Thanks for the input.

You know what to do, you know where you are at so i don't got anything else to say other than consider this the beginning of a transformation.

Yeah I've got a good idea where I am going and how I wanna get there, this pic is mostly for my own reference, and I guess a good morale boost for anyone feeling dissatisfied with their progress.
'well at least I am bigger than somone' can really help some people, so have at it folks, I don't mind

Hey, I thought I was the white ethiopian, now they are calling you my nickname -- no fair. Either way, it's better than being obese (been there, done that, no fun). So you don't gain easily, big deal. Be thankful for your faster metabolism. Just feed it more and work hard on your max ot plan. I believe you will be happy with the results. You are going to be able to lift more than you ever imagined - especially fun is those 4 rep days before you start working up to 6. And, lifting more makes more muscle.

What can I say. Your body type is like that of my boys (and ex). Work hard and heavy and you'll see changes. Consistency is a big deal though if you want to keep it.
Don't be fooled by that fast metabolism. Even though you'll not likely be beastly obese you could get a real pudgy middle if you were to eat poorly and not exercise.
I'll bet anything you'd find running easy or be good at a sport like baseball.
Good luck with OT, I hope it works out for you.

don't be fooled by the slight frame (which, btw, is not at all hard on the eyes, imo): the guy is *active*.

now I'm all insecure, I thought I'd made pretty good gains (3kg in scale weight and not overly less defined i.e. not much fat gain) but here's everybody encouraging me not to give up
lol J/K folks, I've come to accept my body-type and the limitations that puts on my ability to quickly gain muscle (not for a second thinking that this is a reason not to train at 110% every session). Like Welch says I am lucky to have a metabolism like this, makes my diet easier to manage (i.e. is it food ? yes ? eat it ).
You're right though Brat when I gain fat I gain it in the mid section (this is probably close to the most fat I have ever carried ... ever ... I can even pinch skin on my hips...eeeww - but that's a price I am willing to pay for a few more months to build some muscle)...somehow I don't think a lack of exercise will ever be a big issue for me (sports are a nasty little habit of mine ) so I am not overly concerned with what I eat (mainly concerned with eating over my calories every day ... tough at times).
Nate, yeah mate the dunny door in my room is tiny! I have to get sideways to fit through and my shoulders are not exactly built.
thanks for the input guys.

Don't believe i could see sucha difference in the 3months!!! keep it up Pseudonym!!!.
I gained 3 kg in my first year of training, so you are well on your way to getting BIG, just keep doing what you are doing and it will pay off, just be very consistent and dedicated to it.
Noticed in the arms and overall frame, lookin good!.

well cheers mate ... 3kg in a year ?? wow and here I was thinking I'm a hardgainer .
Thanks for the kind words, good to know this counts as progress in some peoples books (gets a bit depressing sometimes reading about 1-2lb a week avg gains when I am lucky to get that in a month ). Just means we've got more patience then the average eh ? lol.
thanks again
peace.

It just means you have to eat more! You take your training seriously, so you need to fuel it.
