skinny fat man?

I am very critical, just got home from a little vacation, I seem to have dropped some more weight. 31yrs old (feelin old, gonna be 32 in July)
5'10.5"/162lbs/17%BF (according to Tanita) I just started to add weights back in last week, obviously Iam sore as sh**. This belly fat is killing me...I hope that my increased cardio and now adding weights back in will allow me to get to my goals. The only place I carry weight is right in the mid section, my legs arms and back area all very lean. Iam going to the Dr. to get a thyroid test to check my levels out, but then again I am a hypochndriac. I feel like a skinny fat man, but then again I have made some progress, I was 190+ and 20+BF 6 months ago, a strict Keto style diet has gotten me to where Iam. Anyways these are my most recent pics from this morning, Im obviously posting so someone will tell me to stop whining and Iam jumping the gun. FYI, my cardio has only been consistent for 1 month, and weight for one week. SOMEONE SLAP ME PLEASE. The first two pictures are relaxed..eeew belly. The last 2 are "flexed".

I don's see a problem. You are just being too critical. Clean up your diet and keep working out.

Why? More than likely there is NOTHING wrong with you. It takes time to lose fat, be patient.

Thanks for the words of encouragement. I know Iam way too critical, my diet has be keto style for a while now I definitely eat a clean diet. I think I can clean it up a little more by reducing the fats. I have been using the fitday.com to keep track of my diet which is awesome because I notice Iam eating a 40/20/40 between 1200-1800 calries. My fat intake is too high, although it has allowed me to lose weight, I think it is the prevailing factor in my diet that is holding me up. I am getting over being "scared' of carbs thanks to this site.

17% bf. Hell no. The scale sucks.

I'm more "afraid" of fat than I am carbs, just get them at the appropriate time and you're set. :

40/20/40 - that's protein/carbs/fat?

why not drop the fat to 20, then add 10 each to protein and carbs? that should provide you with a good balance of confidence and nutrition.

YOU'RE 17% bf!????? no freaking way. can't see it.

17% according to the Tanita...I had a feeling it may be a little high...for that reason I had started a thread a couple of weeks back to ask about the accuracy of the BF component of the scale. When I hit the gym today Im gonna ask of the guys there to do a caliper test on me. Im dropping the fat so Iam at a 40/40/20, and increasing the protein. Thanks for the kind words guys, it has really helped me. :

OK, just got back from the gym, I had one of the trainers do a caliper test, and I got on a "real" scale. I am 165lbs and 12.3% BF...man did that make my day. All of you guys were right!!! Im throwing the damn Tanita scale out of the window. Just the little boost of confidence I needed also, thanks again guys!!

i have a similar frame, my stomach is just a tiny bit bigger than yours around the midsection, and i know what you mean though, I hate it, I want my stomach to be flat, not have a little pouch.

But i think in the end, clean diet, cardio and patience will get me where I want to go, just have faith, you definitely don't look fat nor does your stomach stand out at all, you can actually see your sixpack outline in the flexed pose which jus proves your not fat.

keep at it :
