Thanks for your detailed/informative response! I've been going about it wrong (training too often with sets of 10 to 15 reps), so I will definitely give your routine a try. I have good definition, but no mass (currently 15.75 inches and I'm 6' 4"!), which makes sense based on your reply. I think my diet's solid (just upped it to 2900 to 3000 calories per day). I've been adding whey protein shakes with L-Glutamine post-workout, just purchased some Now creatine and plan on using it as a pre-workout supplement. Drink lots of water throughout the day. So, hopefully I'm on the right track. Really appreciate the advice!

You are welcome Dano! No problem! I think your improved choices that you explained above in your post will definitely help you out lots! Good luck with your training and mass gain goals! Just be consistent, that is a huge key to it all...even when things seem to be "slow" as far as gains are concerned, run through your check list of things that should be taken into consideration...eating enough? At the right times? Supplementing as optimally as you could be? Drinking enough water lately throughout each day? Getting enough rest each night lately? Missing any meals lately? Etc....take a step back at the end of each week and ask yourself is there anything I can/could improve upon...re-evaluate everything, and then make adjustments...continue to improve and strive to raise your personal bar of acheivement. Doing this will in itself help you to stay on track and become consistent without even knowing it!

Well thank you for the compliments, I appreciate it.

I agree, after seeing some top level natural physiques up close (including some natural PRO bodybuilders), it just reasures me that there is no need for steroids.

The line that separates steroid enhanced physiques and top level natural physiques is now becoming a VERY fine line nowadays..... and with a lot of hard work, smart training, consistency with diet, nutrient manipulation and timing, almost anyone can build a worthy physique beyond most people's dreams.

Pretty cool stuff indeed! :

Thanks buddy! You are right, I was pretty smooth before I dieted down. Bigger, but had a decent layer of fat on me. Since getting ripped for my comp, I have remained fairly lean to date...I am about 185-187 and my strength (and size) continues to increase since having competed.

This time around, I am not going to bulk up as much as I had done in the past. I mean, yah it was cool being about 207 pounds, but some of that was fat, and I do not see the need to carry that much around while trying to gain more lean muscle.

Instead, I will simply increase my daily calorie intake as I see fit too, when things begin to slow a little, I will then gradually increase the calories, instead of adding TONS of them each time I increase.

Yah, being 207 and fairly ripped would be a great accomplishment. I am right around 188 right now, and still very lean. I guess I will see! The thing is, it takes just the right kind of consistent nutrition intake to achieve that. I believe it is definitely possible to gain lean muscle while staying damn lean. I am going to give it a try!
