I do Max-OT, my workout journal can be found here:
Tommy D's Max-OT Journal
It involves a lot of compound lifts and lifting till overload (which they believe to be failure within 4-6 reps). Flat bench, squat, and bent over rows seem to be the staples of the routine. Other lifts like incline bench, leg press, and lat pulldowns are in there every week but are secondary to the first 3 lifts.
As far as poundage goes... for bench I'm gettin around 185 for a 1 RM which is my main weak point if you ask me. My gym only goes up to 75's for DB's so that kind of holds me back. Incline bench is at 65's for DB's. I usually do dips with bodyweight plus 35 lbs.
For squat I'm doing 350 for a 1 RM. I do box squats because parallel squats w/out a box put too much pressure on my bad knee. I don't understand how some people can do 700 pounds for leg press and 200 for squat when I'm doing 350 for squat and 300 for leg press. It irks me... For calf raises I'm doing 450 lbs for 6 reps.
For deadlifts I do about 300 for a 1 RM. Bent over rows are around 130-140. I've been told to focus on my lats which I'll try to do... I'm doing 190 for 6 reps for Lat Pulldowns so I'll have to add to that. I've also been told to focus on traps and I'm doing 275 lbs for 6 reps... I'll have to add to that too.
I'm doing 80 lbs for 6 reps for skull crushers, 95 pounds for 5 reps for straight bar curls. 55's for DB's for DB Press. I use a 45 lbs plate for incline crunches. 85lbs for BB Wrist Curls...
... I think that covers just about every body part. Those are my lifts, pound for pound I've been improving a lot. I'm really happy about getting past my bodyweight for lat pulldowns. My legs are getting really thick too. My weak points are probably my chest and my forearms as I can't grip enough weight to acheive proper overload in lifts like shoulder shrugs and stiff leg deadlifts.

Yeah sounds good. You're similar to my friend in a lot of ways. You look a lot more well rounded than I do...really seems like no matter what I lift compared to my bodyweight I don't look any better :/ Been thinkin bout trying Max OT for a while now, did it with my bro for a while last year but when he moved out I stopped and did my own thing up 'till now.

Cort... yeah Max-OT cardio is pretty intense and has helped me keep the fat off. Right now I'm training for track so I find that keeping the bulk on is almost more of a challenge than keeping the fat off anymore. Max-OT weightlifting has gotten me a lot stronger and helped get my muscles a lot more defined as well as adding some bulk.

Thanks Gohan... when are we going to see some pictures of you?
As fars as measurements go:
A little over 14" for upper arms, 12" for forearms, 16" for neck, my chest is a little over 41", waist is exactly 32", 14" for calves, a little over 21" for thighs.

Looks good, bro. You look really lean and defined. I hear ya about having a hard time keeping the bulk... I can't seem to add any weight myself. I'd say work on the lats and chest to add some width to your upper body, but you really look good. Keep up the hard work. ~Steve
PS- I'm originally from Iowa myself.

Thanks bud, I think chest is my weakest area, I'm always b*tching about it . My lats, on the other hand, are strong... but just don't grow
Originally from Iowa, eh? How about them Hawkeyes!
