Well.... Here Goes!

I got a new digital camera for Christmas so I figured out the auto timer and finally got some befores. Technically they're more "middle of the journey" pics since I've already lost 35 lbs. So consider this the starting point to getting somewhere between 15%-10% BF. As I've said in other threads, a 6 pack is not a must, I just want to look good in tight shirts onstage with my band by springtime. At that point if I'm pleased with the amount of leanness, I will start bulking! Any and ALL suggestions for improvement are welcome.

I took these pics an hour ago so all are from 10pm, January 4th, 2006.

I started at 197 lbs on my birthday, July 16th of 2005. (30th....ughh) I currently am 162 lbs.

Measurements started at 42" on the waist and is now down to 39".

Chest started at 42" and is now at 39.5".

Neck is 15.5".

I currently do weights 3 days a week and seperately about 45 mins to 90 mins of cardio per day, 6 days a week, averaging between 500 - 1200 calories burned in cardio training. My cardio consists of walking between 3.5-4mph on the treadmill at full 0%, to running between 6.5-7.5mph on a flat incline, to basic tae-bo sessions splitting up the treadmill stints.

If anyone has any guestimates on my BF percentage I'd like to get your input, I'm guessing somewhere between 25%-29% I would personally say I've got about 25 lbs to lose to reach my leanness goal. I wouldn't want to go below that since i'd describe my frame as small to begin with (5'9") and i have a small/average size upper body when lean. So, I personally think anything under 140 is too light.

Anyway - enough rambling - here's the pics - away we go.

Forget the scale - just go by the mirror and the tape.

From the numbers you've described you are well on your way. Heck, you are about there. Just start building some muscle and you'll be fine. Like discussed in the other thread. Eat enough protein, cut the carbs until the fat is burning off easily - increase the fat a bit if you need so you aren't going hungry.

yup - you've a good lead going in.

one thing: do NOT cut both fat AND carbs or the only thing you've left your body to burn is protein, which is not exactly optimal.

Hey checked out the band's web site. Tell the chick in the pink shirt that she needs to come join my gym. It's a private gym with only 3 members. I could use a spotter.
