That seems like alot to me for beginner instruction but I guess it all boils down to who your trainer is. Since most beginners generally quit, I'd look for a more economical price and if you really get in to it, you can hire the big gun trainer at the big price.

I agree. I dont know how boxing works but when I was taking martial arts classes, 70-100 dollars was not unreasonable. However $180 seems like a lot, but then again it may be one on one training and not a full class setting in a dojo.

I got PRIVATE lessons for 40bucks a month...

If you go more than once a week.. find a legit boxing gym and get into the environment. THe LA boxing and MMA craziness kinda kills boxing in itself when finding a legit gym.

Do a yahoo search for boxing gyms in your city and you'll be surprised with what comes up.

typical price is usually around a month of what you'd pay for a martial art.. ranging from 40-200 dollars depending on where you go and how often.

That sounds like way too much to be honest... unless you are training with someone with serious credentials and you are looking to actually compete at a high level.

Personally, I prefer the places that have a standard rate for a month's worth of classes and give you an opportunity to train nearly as much as you want. My MMA and boxing classes were $100 a month, each allowing me 1-2 hours to train Monday-Thursday, then for another 3 hours on Saturday. Just make sure your trainer knows what he is doing, otherwise you might as well be throwing your money away.

Alright I got a new estimate, tell me what you think.
The trainer is a monk from China, he started traning people when he was 12. and is now 21. I will be learning chinese kickboxing . which if i had a word to describe is. Brutal. the guys really experienced

heres the lessons fee. 99$ for an hour class. (personal or group) dont matter. 4 classes a week for a month. or 16 classes total a month. which averages out at 6 bucks

what do you all think
