Fitness w/out weights?
I know this site is kinda dedicated to bodybuilding and lifting weights but would it be possible for my girlfriend to get a nicer body without weight lifting. I say nicer b/c its already pretty nice, but she's not happy and she asked me to help out. I already told her most of what I know, but I wanna just make sure this whole thing is plausible. Also, a suggested fullbody workout would be really good.

Of course it can be done, the main non-weight option is cardio, but If your already slim, what do you do then ? Well the answer is simple, there are a whole range of movements, the obvious ones being crunches etc, however believe it or not power stretching as a routine does actually help a hell of a lot. You could get her a yoga book of some sort, also if shes not happy with her body , in what way ? Because of course there is always diet..

Mrs
Thanks Lee and I'm gunna look at the link here as son as I get done responding. She is already thin 5'2" 110 lbs but she is not really toned. Dieting wouldn't help that much cause she doesn't eat much anyway and most of it is pretty good food. She has better shape than most people but she wants to be more tone. For example she want's to actually increase her butt size through gaining muscle cause she's got wide hips and she wants it be proportionate. Her stomach is flat but its not really tonned or anything and she wants to get that. I don't think diet is really what she needs, ya know, cause there is only so little you can eat before ur starving urself.

Yeah too right, have her work with her own body weight, swimming is a good one, believe it or not you can do non- weight squats.. these may help a little, for the stomach... as a bodybuilder yourself you could teach her the simple crunch techniques, make sure she works all areas (upper, central, lower & obliques) and as she adds a little muscle she should start to become a little more toned as the muscle will burn more of the excess fat, however if she doesn't eat much it may be hard to add anything ?

I would assume as she starts to exercise she'll gain appetite, I mean damn I eat like a horse hehehe. Thanks for the help Lee, now I just have to keep her motivated, and low and behold, she has a swiming pool!

Swimming is one of the best exercises in the world. You cant get much better, your working with your own body weight as well, perfect! Just keep her going for the first few weeks, and when she starts to see results, that will then be her motivation, it might be hard, I know, I've just got a bone lazy mate through a months weight training but now he's addicted Yeah you will have to explain about the appetite to her, good luck to both of you
