one thing i find interesting about these studies is that they count things like number of gyms available, number of parks with trails, number of fast food places per capita....but really just because a city has more gyms or trails or biking routes available dosen't mean people USE them.

i have a very hard time understanding how seattle can be the #2 fittest city when one of the most common jokes is that most people here are overweight, and unattractive. lol. i also don't understand how LA is considered one of the fattest!

how could LA be a fattest city? Ive never been but i was under the impression that over there they are all totally body obsessed and always working out?!

that's what i've seen everytime i go to LA. actually most of SoCal, I remember going to San Diego and being shocked at how many people were out and about running, biking, rollerblading etc. everyone seemed fit and active.
