I have nothing to offer except that I hope it turns out to be nothing of concern.

i ended up going to the ER at 5am in the morning because the pain was not subsiding, they ran a cardiography and xray and said my heart was fine, they asked me if I had done any vigorous work beforehand i told them a i had a Chest workout the day before, he said that was probably it, but i had my doubts, my workout was routine and im no beginner to weight lifting, and usually my chest is sore after a workout not sharp pains in the left side of my chest, has anyone else had this? i still believe it was originating from my heart, but the tests show nothing out of the ordinary, the doctor gave me some motrin, but it didnt help, the pain has become less frequent and less brief though, but still exists.

It could be costochondritis. I get it (relatively) often.

yeah, it hurts more when you inhale. if it is costochondritis, take some anti-inflammatories and see if it helps.

I get something similar to this. The pain is in my chest sometimes lower (but mostly chest) it hurts for 10-60sec the pain varies sometimes it is pretty severe sometimes mild. It hurts a lot to breathe kind of feels like pins and needles. I have found that standing up and bending over, letting your arms fall forward seems to help. I have been told it is some sort of inflamation somethingwith your ribs/lungs. I'ts very scary but I have gotten is since I was young, 7-8 years old and still get it maybe 4x per year.

Anyway, glad to hear your tests turned out ok!

oh and one more thing, I have found that this happens more after a hard chest or back workout, it almost feels like something is out of whack.

Getaway i had these pains when i was 20yrs old, had cardiograph etc.
Thought i was ready to keel over an die of heart attack lol.
I even used to go cycling and max out heart rate to induce any prob.
It turns out i pulled a muscle or muscles on rib cage (penticostal or oblecks)
Now 46 and still here lol.
