Getting fed up

Hi everyone
I've gotten a lot of great advice from this forum and have been improving my weight lifting since I started in April this year. I have a fitness log on here. I am just not changing my body comp AT ALL. Why am I getting stronger but the measurements are the same??? I don't know what else to do. I lift 4-5 days a week for 45 min (cycling muscle groups each day) plus 30 min cardio on those days (15 min high intensity running, 15 min jump rope). My diet has improved a lot, I try to maintain carb 50%, fat 25%, pro 35%. I'm sure I'm heart healthy and all that from the exercise by now but it's SO GOSH DARN frustrating that I haven't changed my body comp and that's been my goal!
What do I have to do, workout even longer? more cardio? twice a day? (not like there's time to do that though)...sigh. Is there any way to see results one month from now by changing/increasing something I do?

What is your goal? To loose x amount of pounds or just change how the clothes fit?

What are you trying to do? Cut? Bulk? Get Stronger? I am not sure what you are trying to do.I read the first page of your journal but all I seen was a long workout program.

Goal is to lose body fat/gain lean muscle, so yeah, have the clothes fit better and not necessarily lose pounds.

I'm eating 1700 cal/day, I'm 5"4' and about 135# female.

If you read further, I drastically modified that workout so that now it's more intense per session, with about 6-7 exercises per workout day focusing on 2 muscle groups at most. I have 3 different workouts I rotate, to target different muscle groups.

How long have you been at this? Might you be a bit impatient? And what are you going to do once you get there?

How does your body appearance and weight compare to when you graduated from high school?

How does your body appearance and weight compare to your siblings and your Mom when she was your age?

How old were you when you weighed the amount you want to weigh and had the bodytype you are striving to achieve?

Aside from your training, do you lead a fairly sedentary life?

I think answers to these questions will provide alot of clues.

I think the answer is just more time. The hard work will payoff.

I think you may be right- it's seemed like a lot longer than it actually has been and I'm just anxious to see my results. I'll keep going and try not to complain as much.

Yeah I agree with the do it longer theory, and also don't stray from eating natural whole foods. Keep any processed food out of your system, increase the fibrous veggies possibly?

Keep the metabolism up with all natural food sources with the right timing throughout your day, along with what your already doing and you will be there.

Good answers all. One more suggestion. Try 1500 calories/day. And it bears repeating...eat those filling fibrous greens. They are almost free foods because it's so hard to eat enough to overeat on them.

hey jaykay I understand your frustration!!! It's hard to work so hard and not see results yourself, but maybe you are just looking too deep. Have other people noticed your body changing? those close to you say anything? I think that might help considering that's what has been happening to me. I am still trying to stay on track, I also changed my diet considerably and I am still frustrated that I am not losing weight (I know you said that's not your goal) but still I am a very impatient person myself and I want it now, see it now and I don't want it to take long!!! I would say give it more time also, that's all you can really do when you are trying to whip your body into shape, just think how ever old you are, like I am 23, so it took me 23 years to get the body I hate, it's not going to change that drastically in 3 months and I think I am starting to realize this! So just keep uo the good work, your body already loves you for treating it so good and one day you will get the results you have in mind!!!
