Getting hot too quickly
Hey.
I seem to have a big problem and that is i get very hot quickly.
Like if i have to walk to the shops or some think say 1 mins away, when i get their i am really hot and start to sweat alot (especially in summer) and am usually slightly out of breath.
This means i usually have to walk pritty slow (i guess i walk pritty fast normally) to get where i wanna go.
Sometimes even if i am not moveing and the room is just warm i get over heated and sweat more then the norm.
This of course goes double for when i work out.
If i do lots of cardio and get fitter will this stop me getting hot so easily then sweating or am i cursed with bad genetics.
I am 20 years old, 170lb pritty muscular and not very fat
Thanks.

What is the temp that you're getting hot in? What is your resting heart rate? Do you get nervous easily, or drink a lot of caffeine?
Anything over 60-70F makes me sweat. Bad in Texas because we break the 100's in the summer.
If you do cardio regularly it will help keep your from running out of breath on short walks, but I can't say whether or not it'll stop you from sweating. If your surroundings are warm enough, whether you are moving or not, your body will sweat to keep its temperature regulated.

I get the same way. I have always been this way ever since I was a kid, although I thinking back it got worse once I moved to Ontario. The humidity here just kills me. I'm pretty much always hot. I'll walk with no jacket at 0 degrees (celsius) As soon as my heart rate gets a little bit elevated I start to sweat. I just do everything possible to stay cool. I also bring changes of clothes with me to most places

...
i don't sweat easily at all, but i canNOT tolerate the heat: i start feeling like my skin is being washed down with hot oil and i can't breathe. i live 400k+ north of toronto and it's *still* too hot here in the summer; i spend a lot of time hiding in basements.
back in december, i went to toronto to visit my sister for a week - i was walking around in short sleeves with my jacket tied around my waist at -7C and not one goosebump. the wind actually felt really good - cold, but burning at the same time.

Geez! I always seem like the oddball on these things. Ontario is not warm enough for me. I don't even think Arizona would be!
I absolutely freeze every winter and I bask in the heat of the humid summer days here. I don't think I've complained about the heat ever. My biggest complaint is having to carry a sweater or coat around with me in the summer because of the damn A/C indoors. If you see someone wearing wool in the grocery aisle in July ... that's probably me.
When I do cardio, I rarely sweat enough for it to be noticable.

I know how you feel! I haven't worn a winter jacket all year!

I've never read research to support it, but I've frequently heard that becoming more fit may increase your sweating response as opposed to decreasing it. If your body gets used to prolong periods of exertion, its natural response may be to quickly ramp up the cooling process (sweating) as soon as you start exerting yourself.
