Good Cardio?

Hey hows it going, im 20/m 5'9" 165 about 12%bf and reppin about 205-225 on bench , i lift 4-5times a week -- which ive been doing for over a year now, even tho ive yet to add legs to my workout. I was 190 and was reppin 245 but was getting too big, so I started dieting and dropped down to 165 w/o much cardio in about 3months. I take a multi-vitamin, calcium supplement, creatine/l-glutamine, and about 3 weeks ago i started taking dyna-burn extreme (epedra). I just this week decided to start doing cardio every morning ( lift in afternoon ), I just kinda made a routine, 10mins on bike then i run a mile then i do elipticall sp? for 20mins. Is this cardio routine going to be any worth while. I'm trying to drop my bf% and still maintain and possiable still get gains in the gym.

t3x: Based on your stats, something seems a bit wrong here. 5'9" 165 is pretty small. Add 12% BF and you're only talking about 145lbs of lean muscle mass. You're also going a bit crazy with the supplements, in my opinion. If you're doing what you say you're doing as far as routine, the only thing I can think of is that you're simply not eating right. I'm 5'10" and I weigh 175-180 and that's still considered pretty small.

With those supps and routine, I'd be pretty emaciated unless I was eating mass amounts.

What's your diet like? Why aren't you working legs?

i eat healthy, no fats/sugars etc.... lots of grilled chicken / seafood / turkey. 3 meals a day, very basic. I havent started working out legs because I've never really worked out legs and all the guys i work out with dont do legs so its hard to start legs in my workout but i def want to. Yea, i was suprised that i actually dropped down to 165 which i havent been since like freshmen year of HS but im still putting up pretty much the same amount when i was 190, my bench has gone down a lil but everything else ive had slow increases.

I can suggest two things, then.

1) Eat more often. Have 5-6 small meals throughout the day. This will improve your metabolism and your fat-burning machine.

2) Develop a good lifting plan you can stick to that INCLUDES legs. Squat. Deadlift. Squat. Deadlift. Then do it again. Tell your lifting friends that they're missing out.
