I have been trying to get fit and lose weight for years now. The losing weight part was easy, but toning muscle or building muscle is the hard part!
So for anyone else who is just starting off, learn from my mistakes! Read up on the right information first, otherwise, like me you will end up quiting your routine or exercise program!
For great information on building muscle, check this site out:
http://www.building-muscle101.com
It has lots and lots of great information for newbies and experts! I am new to this, and i have already learned alot from this site (discussfitness.com) and (Building-muscle101.com)
So for any newbies reading, this is the key to building muscle, which i have learned!
1. - Nutrition
In order to build muscle, you need to eat the right food. This includes proteins, a little fat and carbohydrates. Also, don't forget to drink plenty of water! Always take some water with you when your working out. This is because you will sweat alot of fluids out while working out, and it is important that you keep well hydrated.
2. - Working The Muscle
In order for you to grow your muscles, you need to realy work them! You can't just do a few reps and then give up! The muscle realy needs to work, otherwise it will not grow.
3. - Resting
In order to grow your muscles, you need to let them rest. After maybe 3 - 4 days of working different muscles, leave 1 or 2 days out to give your muscles time to grow. This is when they grow, while your resting, not while your working out!
As i said, i am new to this, so for you experts out there, is this information correct?
So for example, would this be a good
exercise routine for building muscle?
Monday: Work on upper body.
Tuesday: Work on lowwer body.
Wednesday: Do
aerobic exercise such as jogging, power working or swimming.
Thursday: Resting...
Friday: Resting...
Satarday: Start from beginning.
Along with good nutrition and quality reps, would this routine be fine? Or should i workout a little more as i am wanting to build my upper body more than anything, this would be my arms and chest.
Thanks in advance!
