Grip strength
Just wondering if anyone has any tips to improving grip strength. I want to get my crushing grip to huge levels. Any hints?

best way for me was heavyyyy!!! bent-over rows, barbell & dumbell shrugs, deadlifts you can see where i'm going with this.
why specify on grip strength alone when you can strengthen all over.

hey Sam mo,
Well as for the why, I was at work the other day, lifting scafold, and one of the other blokes managed to keep a peice from moving while lifting it with one hand! I asked how he did that, his answer was a stong grip.
I currently train 2X per week, and started lifting a few months ago.

Not sure what a "crushing grip" is (is this a guy thing??) anyway, have you tried climbing? My forearm strength skyrocketed when I started climbing ...

If you want crushing grip, the best equipment out there are clubbells. If you don't get more info about them, your grip strength will regret it! They're freaking awesome.

And stay clear of wrist-straps...they are bad news for your wrist strength!

Do the farmer's walk. Take 2 dumbells, one in each hand, with about 40-50 lbs or whatever your level is, and walk for as long as you can, until you feel as if you will drop them. Do this and your forearms should be flamed, thus improving your hand strength. Also, you could walk on your toes to work your calf.

- heavy deadlifts(keeping a tight grip on the bar)
- hammer curls
-farmer's walks
-just having a tight grip on the bar/db for any exercise you do

Well if you are desperate, try adding towels to the grip of chin up bars and hang on there as long as you can. Though I don't do that cuz I prefer strenghtening the whole body part but it works for most ppl.

one thing id suggest and that i personally do is to use the little hand gripper things all during the day. i have 2 and any time im free and have nothing else to do i strap on the headphones, listen to music, and hand crunch away. it isnt the best thing but it works. i have been doing it for a little while and have noticed a little difference. i mainly wanted to get a better grip for my dl. its suprising how much a grip affects your dl form. i know i did dl a few weeks ago and couldnt get a grip for nothing then i found the chalk. i did so much more with so much better form it was amazing.
