Gym Finder???

Does anyone know of a website that can help me find a gym for a small town in NC? I'm going there for a week to visit my grandma but I don't want it to interfere with my working out...Its s small town called Maggie Valley in the mountains so I'm hopings the nearest one isn't too far away. I would take a week off but I think it would be too early to do that.

Here are a couple for you. Doesn't look like anything right in Maggie Valley, but there are some within a few miles. Never been to the area but I hope this helps.

Dana,

No need to find a gym.

Do a superset of girlie pushups, BW squats and situps. Pick a challenging number of reps for each exercise but stay far from failure. Complete all 3 exercises and that is one round. See how many rounds you can complete in 30 minutes. Have your grandma watch and keep count for you. Then when you are done, go for a brisk 30 minute walk. Save the gym guest fee and use it to take grandma out for some coffee or tea.

Dana, best bet - do what pierini suggested.

Next best bet - drive 30-45 minutes to Sylva and go to "Great Smokey Mtn Fitness Center."

Another option - drive the same 30-45 minutes to Sylva and go to "Curves".

Not much Gym choices in these small WNC towns. If you want to drive 1.5 hours, you can use my gym. But there is no heat, light, or electric. You'd probably like it better in Sylva.
