I was just in Barnes & Noble, and saw a laminated package (i.e. I couldn't flip through it) by this guy Edward Jackowski called "Jump Into Fitness". For $15, it comes with a jump rope, an instructional DVD, and a book(let)--the latter two of which I assume explains Mr. Jackowski's jump rope workout techniques. I've already checked Amazon & BarnesandNoble.com for reviews, but there's none given. Having said that, I was wondering if anyone on this board knows anything about this product or Mr. Jackowski and can offer me opinions on either.
To further enhance your opinion as to whether this would be a good buy for me, I'll tell you that, I consider myself an expert as far as the jump rope BASICS are concerned. To wit, even though I utilize the jump rope fairly frequently in my
cardio training, my jumping movements are pretty limited (I haven't figured out how to do crossovers, double jumps, or most of the more challenging movements). Because of these limitations, I tend to get easily bored with
jumping rope, and truly think that if I had available to me a more structured/fun workout, I'd do it a lot more.
So anyway, does anyone know anything about this product? If not, does anybody have any good websites or other suggestions for a jump rope workout (and I've already seen the ones on rossboxing.com)?
