Headaches

I finally found out what they are.. They are tension type headaches... but they are chronic.. It seems when i workout the headaches go away and then they come back in a day or two. Will working out make this any worse? Does anyone here know anything about these types of headaches?

You get them by worrying too much about your triceps?

Actually, I do get them. They are controlled by drinking more water and quit stressing about stuff you can't change.

I get get these to. usualy 10-24 hours post workout, but never during a wokout.

Im thinking thier mianly post workout, because during a workout your muscles are warm and generaly more flexible than any other time. gradually as you muscles relax they become more tense, lactic acid becomes more noticable and the tension headaches begin.

I find stretching, and like lady C said, drinking lots of water both help alot.

Self-diagnosis is funny.

It's also misleading.

If you're really worried, consult a doctor, otherwise, you're doing something wrong (like not eating enough before a workout, or overtraining, or being dehydrated).

If they are very bothersome, your doctor could probably give you some medicine to help. The medicine I take for my migraines is actually for tension headaches.

I get tension headaches quite often and believe they're related to lifting weights. I think they go away when you workout because you're flushing the muscles with blood and oxygen, however things tighten up when you rest for a couple days.
