So, for those of us here, at DiscussFitness.com, how about restating (in different, yet significant terms) what you said at that other site.

Thanks.

Below was my post for Fitness after 60 on the Robert Universe site. I don't see where I would change it for those weight trainers over 60 on this site.

"I was watching Dr. Adrew Weil's dvd on healthy aging last night. I couldn't help thinking of our own aging in relation to fitness and health.
Now we will all have some point in our life that we are the strongest that we will be. If we have passed that point then we have to adjust to the new reality of our present level of strength. If our best deadlifts were 10 reps of 300lbs, at some point 9 reps will be our limit. The attempt at 10 reps could be the point of injury! The problem is it can become a battle between the unchanging weight and our changing body!
This is a time to rethink our perception of what true fitness and health is. There are several other ways to train the body including bodyweight, isometrics, superslow and even virtual resistance(muscle control). These modalities require being sensitive to the mind/muscle connection whereas you are in charge of the degree of muscular contraction rather than the weight doing so. Also training at home can avoid competing with the younger trainers in a gym and can be a journey of self discovery."
