Help!

Could someone tell me the best way to trim fat from my hips and legs without building any muscle. I am watching my diet and semi-following atkins right now. I also bought some hydro-lean but have yet to use it. Currently I am walking during the evenings and during the day i'll jump on the bike for 20mins. I also do some reps with dumb bells for my arms but that is about it. Are there specific exercises that I could follow that would reduce the size of my hiney, ....(I don't want to build muscle in an already big butt! LOL.) ....lower body area. Would greatly appreciate it.

Well walking wont do you much good, try maybe a brisk jog or running. Most cardio should help you. Tread mills, bikes, or those fancy plastic sweat shorts could help you if your really overweight(j/j). Look around in the diet area, and the cardio threads on here, they should help you out.

Walking is a great way to start down the road to fitness. Do something you like so you develop the habit of doing it regularly. You like to walk? Then by all means, get out there and put on the miles.

Weight lifting is a great way to add muscle, which will help burn fat stores. It will give you a musclular butt and legs if you decide to incorporate it into your workouts. Your legs are your biggest muscle group and will add tremendously to increasing your metabolism when they become more muscular.

Lunges, squats, etc will all help to change the look of your backside.
