Home training equipment left in car for travel

(Mods: Please feel free to move this if it is better suited somewhere else. I can't figure out where it's best home should be).

I train many people in their homes. I travel to their homes or offices, and though not always needed I do have a moderate amount of "equipment" that I carry with me in my car. For feasibility sake, I cannot possibly remove it all every evening and carry it all back down and stock it all back up every morning. If you guys end up telling me that's my only choice, I guess I'll have to suck it up, but I'm hoping for something else.

Among my equipment are DB's and balls (soft, sand weighted medicine balls, not the hard rubber ones, 6lb, 8lb, 10lb, 12lb), body bars, 2 physioballs, two boso balls (small), one bosu ball (large), multiple rubber tubing (strengths), mats (okay the list goes on).

The problem is: I get what appears to be "heat marks" on them or something. Squared burnt marks that are yellow or orange (on the green and blue MB's and the blue and red hand weights). I do not have anything propped against the wheel well, I put everything in a wicker box which has a linen cloth liner. These items are in the trunk (to avoid exposing all this equipment in my back seat). Except the physioballs, which I'll rotate as needed, but they fall to the elements too especially the heat and cold, so I TRY at least to rotate them.

It does not affect the functionality of these pieces of equipment but I am uncomfortable in presenting this professional atmosphere bringing in equipment that has bizarre "stains" on it that I can't explain. It's costly because it happens to all the equipment (rather, most of it), at various points, and quickly (a new piece will develop this yellow or orange marking on it within days).

I'm just guessing it's sun, heated metal, pressure. But this is year round, a variety of equipment. Anyone have any thoughts re: protection? These stains cannot be cleaned by the way (I've tried).

Yep, I'll end up buying ALL new stuff but the turn around is too swift, and there's my need to know.

The best advice I can give you is to somehow keep the equipment covered. Get a really big cover/towel and place it in your trunk. Use half of the cover as your base to put the equipment on top of it and the remaining will be used over top to cover it up.
