Horizontal leg press and dizzy

I have found that when I get up from doing the horizontal leg press that I get very dizzy. I think that it is because my legs require increased amount of blood and when I stand up my heart has to work twice as hard to get the blood back to my brain so my blood pressure drops. I was wondering if anyone else has encountered this problem and if they know of any evidence to support it. Thanks!!!

hard to say - how's your blood pressure generally?

the only time i get that is when i've been holding my breath when i exercise - i'm fine until i stand up and take a couple deep breaths and then "whoops! thar she goes!"

I've had that happen many times and not just on the leg press. You are right in that it's about blood flow. I've found that I need to wait a few seconds before attempting to get up. Let things normalize. I can't cite any professional references but would say not to worry.
