If you want a V, then you're going to have to reduce your waist and/or grow your back & shoulders. Yoga's not a means to that end. You're going to have to do some pretty serious resistance training to make that transition. Have you lifted weights before? Is that something that you're willing to do?

If your body style is already a classic hourglass (waist 7+ inches smaller than your chest/bust and hips, which are prettywell the same measure ) then you'll develop the V with back (lots of latissimus dorsi development) and chest work. You can emphasize it with good shoulder development. Of course overall whole body muscular development is optimum.
