How much fat can be burnt with 1 hour cardio every morning?

My journal can be seen here for info on me:
http://www.discussfitness.com/forums...ad.php?t=36818

Basically I worked out for almost a month with weights, put on some nice muscle but given myself more fat then I wanted so am going to be doing up to 1 hour cardio every morning, mainly running anf using the excersize bike.

But, as I've never worried about weight before, I have no idea how much fat I can expect to lose? My goal is to loose enough in 3 weeks to be near six pack, then get back building up. (I'll be doing weights twice a week to keep using the muscle).

Thanks for any info.

The answer really depends on you. How fast is your metabolism? How fast can you burn fat? How clean is your diet? Your diet is really the key here. You can do all the cardio you want, but without a clean diet you are really not going anywhere.

What are your goals? To me, it sounds like you want to get big and as lean as possible. If this is the case, running an hour every morning can be catabolic. Meaning you will lose some of that hard earned muscle. Try to limit your cardio to 3 or 4 30-45 minutes medium intensity sessions a week.

Sorry, I just read your journal.

I immediately saw two things that are wrong with your routine/diet.
1. Your diet looks like ass.
2. Not completely sure about this, but, you might have far too much volume in your routine for you.

Focus on big compound lifts, go as heavy as possible, and get your diet in order and you will acheive your goals.

If you put on too much fat while trying to gain muscle, then either you ate too many caloires, your diet is not right for your body and/or your routine could use some tweaking.

Basically as Big Mike said, your diet could use some work, and, IMO, you are spending too much time on isolation work.

Also, have you considered a shorter, higher intensity session for at least some of your cardio work?
