In and Out!

This is not a joke thread.

i am back to lifting since my hockey season is over and i need to gain the weight i lost due to hockey. But for some reason it seems as if my metabolism increased.

Anything i eat i crap out within a half hour. I dont get it. I need to bulk but everything simply goes right through me.

What can i do?

the FIRST thing you do is get a checkup from your doctor.

lol, exactly.

You shouldn't be expelling the food you eat for a good 24 hours man unless you're ill with the flu or something. At that point you could be crapping every 30 minutes, but it wont be what you just ate.

ok well not exactly within a half hour. I crap about 2-3 times a day. Is that fine?

How many times does everyone on this board crap a day? lol

.... while i do pay compulsive attention to detail in the gym, i'm afraid the contents of the loo and the purposes of my visits are somewhat less than fascinating to me, lol.

if you're eating more fibre and drinking more fluids than you were before, then yeah, you can expect some degree of digestive disruption. if your gut's got a high motility, then 12 hours to digest isn't unheard of, but generally, 24hrs is about it. it should settle in a week or so, unless you're actually talking about undigested food passing through and the runs in which case, get thee to a medic.

It also could mean you have an irritable bowl. If that is the case a quick trip to the doctor will be necessary.
