Is it ok to use a steam room after cardio workouts?

Lately i have been swimming at the gym a lot, and afterwards i like to cool off in the steam room. Last night i was wonderring if it might not be a good idea to keep sweating after a workout. (ie taking water out of muscles that have just been exercised)

Would it be a good idea to drink some water first and then go in?

Thanks

you should be drinking water all the time. take a bottle in the sauna with you. nothing feels better than a swig of icy water when it's a hundred degrees and humid!
