is there any hope...

I ask this 'cause I'm going to a boarding school wear they don't have a good weight room (read: not even a good set of free weights) and don't offer a aerobics class. Before, I was a member of a heath center and lifted 3 times a week, did the elliptical machine for 20 mins a day every other day, and participated in a aerobics class twice a week. Doing this kept me in good shape and I was really active. But while I'm at school I don't know what to do to keep in shape since I find running boring and repetitive, and just walking around the campus doesn't really do it for me, is there anything else I could do to keep in to shape? Would yoga or platites work?

During the summer I was really happy about the way I looked and was really content about myself, but know I've put on at lease 10lb. replacing the muscle with fat. I would like to get back to the fitness level that I was at but I don't know how, without the use of a gym. I'm sure the grease caf food doesn't help at all, how do you guys do it when you not able to control what kind food you can eat?

When I'm not in control I shoot for the healthiest looking meal around, e.g burger over hot dog, buy 3 burgers (good burgers this is not Mac Donalds) and disgard the buns and just eat them lol, yoga and the others do work yep, they will condition your body well. But damn boarding school, I would break out mate, I'm not one for places like that, stupid question... but can you not take your own weights with you ? surely if there is room they can't stop you ? If not, call me and few of the other guys & gals on the board up and we'll come smuggle you in a few 45kilo plates and a barbell

Are there any team sports you could join, it may not be ideal but could be better than nothing.

I don't know much about boarding schools, but if that is a big campus, and you have to walk long distances, one thing you can do is get a big duffle carrying bag, and put all of your books in it, or other weighted things which can make the bag weigh a lot, and carry it around in different positions, and it will help condition your arms really good.

For your cardio, try jogging. Probably the best full body cardio workout other than swimming.

You can ALWAYS do push-ups, sit-ups, lunges, pull-ups, etc. Weighted exercises may be difficult ... but since you carry your body-weight wherevery you go, you have no excuse NOT to perform the noted exercises.
