Jogging/Running v. Rollerblading

I am going out the door right now to pick up a pair of rollerblades, and I just want to know what your thoughts are on inline skating in general, and how it compares to running/jogging. If I would to inline skate on a regular basis, would this improve my running endurance a measurable amount?

It may improve your overall endurance but not your running form. Running is a physically and mentally demanding exercise. Without frequent practice you won't develop well. Personally, I wouldn't rollerblade for the fact that it isn't very good on your ankles. Your feet are usually at a slant and pushing in that way on your ankle can cause serious injury.

Being "cool" isn't what I am going for, I graduated high school years ago.

Fitness is my top priority, and if roller blading can help improve that, I am all for it. "Cool" or not.

i say if it feels good and u get results do it, but it wont help ur running much, u need to be used to the impact of running, it kills a certain amount of blood cells in ur legs believe it or not, u need to be conditiond in replenishing them
