Legs/ankles/feet puffed up - FREAKED OUT!!!

OK so this weekend i've been pretty lazy... been eating junk food (not LOADS, but some chocolates/cakes/sweets etc) something i haven't done in ages. I've also been sitting around watching films and generally been taking a break....

I took a shower this evening.. and noticed that my legs/feet/ankles have puffed up LOADS... and it's freaked me out!!!!

My initial thoughts were 'omg omg omg ive somehow clogged an atery with this sudden junk food binge' lol... but i guess it's a combination of the heat (it's been pretty humid here for the past few days) and the fact that ive been sitting down at my PC for hours on end.

Could someone please confirm whether or not my legs are about to drop off and maybe calm me down!!!

thanks!!

(btw i'm 5'7" and weigh 124lbs)

I'm thinking you ate more carbs and/or salt than normal, and now your body is retaining water. It should go away soon.

I agree with liftgirl, lots of sodium and carbs will make me look puffy.

I'm gonna have to go with the salt and carb bloat.

Infections would be painful.
Blood clots would be painful.
Clogged arteries would be painful.

Drink Green tea or some other natural diuretics along with plenty of water.
And next time prop your feet up in a recliner for proper loafing.

Yep, yep, and yep.

And not discounting Bodyshop's suggestion either...there are conditions that cause this, including some heart conditions. But it usually wouldn't be a sudden onset with no warning after a weekend of eating the way you described...most likely...it's the food.
