Middle of the Night

So, it's the middle of the night, 2:30 to be exact. I am awake, which I shouldn't be as I have to get up at 7.

My knees and my shins are throbbing. I can't find a comfortable position to sleep in. Even my ankles are sore.

I have a contest in 5 days, so this isn't exactly good timing. I don't know what to do, or what I did to make myself so misrable.

Advice??

Edited: It is now 3:15 and there is more pain in my ankle than anywhere else. I'm used to knee pain as I know I have bad knees. I am also somewhat used to shin pain as that is nothing new either. This ankle this IS new though. The only pain I've had in my ankle in Achille's Tendinities. This isn't it.

It's centered on the tarsals and a little towards the outside, though the pain radiates through the entire tarsal region. I have wrapped it with some althletic wrap but feel no differece.

If it just got sore within the last 24 hours ice it for 20 minutes on and 20 minutes off.

If it's been more than 24 hours heat it for 20 minutes on and 20 minutes off.

Some ibuprofen should help too. At your size 400mg should be plenty.

Sorry, I just saw your post. I was up at that time too and could have sat up with ya if I'd known you couldn't sleep either.

I'm just worried about what it is going to do to my practicing my routine. I've taken ibuprofen and had it wrapped almost all night. It did feel better when I woke up, but walking on it is making it a little sore again.

Grrr....... worst possible timing.

I wish I knew what to tell you. I don't have any advice, but wanted to wish you well for your contest!
