My favourite songs differ slightly depending on what I am doing. I have compiled several mixes specially made for i.e. spinning, fitboxe, pump, step etc. Some of the songs are versatile and go well with just about anything, truly motivating, feel good music.
Here are few examples:
Love Generation / Bob Sinclair
Sambadagio / Safri Duo
Jambo / Underworld
Maria / Ricky Martin
Sorry / Madonna (I am not a Madonna fan but somehow I like the sound and beat of this song...)

The list changes from time to time, but some recent additions are: Tool- "Vicarious"; Coheed & Cambria- "The Suffering"; Disturbed- "Stricken"; Dream Theater- "Pull Me Under"; Earshot- "Headstrong"; Franz Ferdinand- "Take Me Out"; Linkin Park- "Breaking the Habit"; System of a Down- "Question!".

hey! i do the same thing! i have so many playlists on my ipod. i have a couple i use for running/cardio and then some for lifting. i also have one for stretching. the music i listen to while working out is quite different then what i listen do regularly.
for cardio/running i love top 40 give me some britney spears, madonna, justin timberlake, pink, kelly clarkson, black eyed peas. then other time when running i like to listen to dwight yoakum, the blasters, the mavericks. or another playlist for running has tori amos, fiona apple.
for lifting i like mixes with: tool, oasis, hole, korn, smashing pumpkins. lately i've only been listening to music when running though. its also fun to make mixes for interval training. a fast song for the sprints, a slower song for recovery, then fast again for sprint, so on and so forth.

I would recommend some Dance/House music, i personally don't listen to it while working out just because i like to exercise in silence But it does motivate me a lot.
I'd suggest albums like:
VA - Dance 2006 Summer Session
VA - Mykonos 7
VA - Sunshine House vol.6
VA - Summer House Party 2006
I don't know where you can buy them, cause i downloaded them off some web-site(yeah i guess it's called illegally). Just sharing, good luck
