my body shape is changing so fast!
hello...
I am just wondering..since 2003 i have lost about 50 lbs.
i am 5 feet 8 inches and i weight about 165 lbs. i have 20 lbs to go at the most...
i have a couple of questions
1) my body shape is changing so fast. Even if i weight the same, my jeans get lose on my butt, etc. etc. Do you continue to change your shape even if you are at a constant weight??
2) This one is for all the people who have lost weight. As we all know stomach is the last place you generally lose weight from. I am wondering if I maintain the same weight as I am now, will my stomach eventually come in propotion/shape up a bit with my body slowly, or would I have to lose more?
Thank you

1.) Definately. Muscle weighs more than fat so, if you are dropping bodyfat but staying the same or even going up a hair in weight, you can attribute that to extra muscle. It's a good thing.
2.) It will become 'more' proportionate over time even if you stay the same weight because of reason #1 but, at some point you will level off. It just depends on whether or not you are happy with that or want to go further in which then, diet is really the deciding factor in cutting the stomach up.

1) Yes, it is possible. Building muscle is actually one of the best ways to lose fat. As a result, you may weigh the same but your body its tighter. Remember that muscle weighs more than fat.
2) It is possible---it all depends on you and how you work out. Look at Cursor's progress pics. He only gained two pounds from the first picture to the last, and he obviously looks much different.

Here is a link to Cursor's progress pics --> http://xone.worx.inc.new.net/df/cursor-change-3.jpg
Even though you can't spot reduce, doing ab work is still good for pulling the stomach 'in' and tightening everything up. Most exercises require the stomach to stabalize you, but if you want more stabalization, there are always those stability balls rolling all over the gym (at least at mine). You can do many things on them OR just do crunches on em'.

What do you do for exercise, nneehhaa? Scanning through your posts, I see that you do aerobics ... but do you do any form of resistance training? Are you male or female?

I stopped trying to lose weight back about two months ago. I have been about 164-167 for the last two months and my Body fat has dropped from about 20% to 10% so you can still change your body staying at the same weight.
As far as your stomach, I don't know....I had a gut and the as I started losing body fat, I could start to see my upper 4 pack. I still have an amount of fat near my lower abs near my belly button that needs to dissappear. I still drink beer though so it may be my own damn fault.

Just keep working at finding a balance between the work that you do (aerobics & resistance training) and the food that you eat. If you're not losing fat, then work harder and/or eat a little less. If you're not gaining enough muscle mass, then work harder and eat a little more.
