My plan to help out a girl's workout.

So I want to help a girl I like achieve her fitness goals. She seems more than willing to be helped, so that's good start... but that's a different topic.

Anyways, here's the outline. Her goal is to lose 5 pounds and keep her weight in check. She looks very good right now, but she can definitely find 5 pounds to lose. She also has a hereditary predisposition to gaining weight, so she must not at all get discouraged or ever stop working out. She currently jogs for 30-35 minutes 3 or 4 times a week and watches what she eats.

My basic outline is this:

1) Get her off her constant-pace jogging routine and turn her onto HIIT.
2) Get her to do a full-body workout using a Cybex circuit one day a week instead of cardio, doing 2 sets of each exercise with 6-8 reps and one minute break.
3) Get her to eat a breakfast that's more than just a yogurt or a granola bar, but one with complex carbs, some healthy fats (peanut butter) and protein.
4) Get her to eat frequently and include protein in each meal.

Anything I missed, anything you would add? Much appreciated.

Looks like a reasonable start, but I certainly wouldn't use the peanut butter as a prime source of healthy fats. Make sure that her flow of food throughout the day matches her activity level.
