Not sure where to put this

But does hitting hard material make your knuckles stronger?

I heard by punching hard substances such as metal/wood/concrete it packs the bone down and makes the knuckles harder.

Over a period of many, many years you can increase the bone density in your hands ind wrists by hittiing boards. DO NOT START THIS UNTIL YOU HAVE FINISHED GROWING.

you can also take a glass wine/beer bottle and roll it up and down your shins. kills the nerves, but hurts like a bitch even when bearly putting any pressure..

honestly though the only benifit i see with that crap now other than being a better scrapper. so i gotta ask, are you doing this cause you like to scrap? or is there some other benefit to this i'm not seeing?

It doesnt pack it down. What happens is you create countless tiny fractures within the bone which then heals and creates a more dense structure than before. The bone actually looks like a sponge under the microscope. Its these voids that begin to get smaller and more rigid, creating an overall tougher surface.

do pushups on your knuckles on cement rather than hitting hard material if you want to condition your hands.

Learning how to punch, using your hips and whole body, is more important than just knuckle conditioning.

What is your goal?

To some degree yes. But your punching power comes from within. Bodyhardening doesnt increase your ability to throw a hard, quick punch. It's designed to prevent injury.
