Pain in my Back!

I just started Max OT yesterday, went good and quick felt fine when finished up but a few hours later my lower back really tightened up. This morning I could barely stand up straight. now I feel fine when I am sitting but when I stand up my back is killing me. I think it was the SLDL that got to me but I didn't feel any problems during or immediately after my workout. what do you guys think? just muscles tightening and not used to this heavy load workout? and should I continue with my workout today (arms, tris, forearms)?

well I took a little time and re-read the MAX-OT principles about training with injuries and it's suggestion is to continue to train with a lighter weight if possible, so I will continue with today's workout as I believe I can get an effective workout for my arms even though my lower back is tight as can be... I will re-evalute my situation on Thursday as that is back day to see how I feel. I would still appreciate any others comments about training through pain / injuries and what stratagies they have taken to recuperate [sp?] while maintaining lbm or still improving lbm... Thanks.

Hard to tell but I think it's muscle soreness, I can sit for periods of time and it's fine, but when I go to stand up I can really feel it!!! but after a 1/2 hour of standing it seems to loosen up a bit.

if its muscle soreness, it may just be your lower back getting used to deadlifts. this is a good thing, cuz it means you're getting stronger. my guess is it the soreness after deadlift will decrease a lot in a few weeks. jsut try to put up with it until then

Thanks for you comments Maurer, i'm hoping your right the last time my back felt like this it was from bent over rows and it took 2 weeks before my back felt right again... I'll probably work through it with as heavy weight as comfortably possible come my next back / leg workouts... thanks again.
