Path To A Solid Stomach?

I have noticed lately in the gym that there a guys who might not be defined in the stomach, but still are very solid. When they sit down, their stomachs don't turn to rolls or flaps, but just remain a large solid mass. Is this just caused by strong abdominal muscles that just aren't defined? Personally, I have lost about 50 pounds now, I'm 5'10 and about 154 lbs. My upper body is decently defined and I am not looking to get a hardcore 6 pack, but would like for my stomach to have that solid look, or at least feel like it. When I sit down, there is a noticeable difference from how I was prior to my weight loss, but I can still poke around on my stomach and it is spongy/flabby. Yet, when I stand, I can hardly grab anything on my stomach except for skin. Any clues or hints as to what I can do? Or is this just my genetic disposal and I should deal with it lol?

I'm very similar to you. I've lost about 47 lbs, and have the same ab situation. As best I can figure (in my case, at least) is that some of the flabby rolls is caused by skin. When you loose as much fat as you and I have, it takes a long while for the skin to recover.

I hope you might be right. I do a pretty good ab circuit at the gym and stick to it fairly well. I can feel the defined muscles and somewhat see them too when standing, but when I sit, it is almost as if I could push on my stomach forever and not feel the same thing. Very odd.
