What to do on long travel breaks if u dont wanna pay $$$ to join local gyms??
I tried up the power pushup -II
http://www.jumpusa.com/ppushup.htm
My comments:
Cons:
1:They recommend the bands be not streched to more than 3x original size, so that puts some limitations if u try to get creative. Altho they say on website it can be used for lunges, when I got it, it had a note saying it was strongly recommended not to use it in any
leg exercises as that much stress was bad for the bands(I belive its becoz of the excessive streching in leg exercises-legs are longer than arms.
2: The resistance is via bands, which works fine for pushups, but for other exercises such as bent rows, it may not be optimal(bands have greatest resistance at the weakest point in rows)
3: Over time the bands may weaken - I'm not sure whats the lifetime
Pros:
1:Light, easy to assemble, change levels
2:Multiple resistance levels
Other comments:
Their effective resistance calculation is off. I weight 180, I cood do 12 pushups with one red band on each side. According to them effective resistance=180*.65 +60=177
In reality, I can only do 8 reps on bench with 135lbs.
Does it work? I was failing on powerd pushups inside 10 reps. I did a session after a 1 week break -pecs were really sore for 3 days-the kind of sore where it hurts if u poke(granted my diet wasnt good those days).
I didnt many rows-managed to do pullups on something.
I belive jumpusa's price is the best. When I placed the order they gave me a 10$ off 29.95 coupon, which makes the total around 26$ after shipping. I
think its a multiple use coupon but I'm not sure - anyway if multiple people wanna use it we can use a token system or something. PM me if u'r going to buy.
