Ripped abs

I'm trying to get washboard abs, but while I have definition from top to bottom (the abs above are defined from the ones below) but I don't have definition from side to side. Is there some special technique I can use to get that sharp, clean groove down the middle?

The only way that I can imagine that age might be a factor is that with increased age you tend to form more bad dietary and fitness habits. Sure, the skin loses some elasticity, but there is no reason why fat levels (and muscle development) can't be controlled.

Like the others said, no. It's all about lowering your bodyfat a little more. There is also a chance that you don't have enough abdominal mass (sounds odd I know) for the linea alba to show up as the line down the middle. There are also genetic differences so that some people never really get that kind of look.

re: ebon00 & goloid

Yeah, I was affraid that[genetics] might be part of it (I notice most people w/ plenty of mass and definition don't exactly have a "six-pack", but rather asemetrical, almost random, muscle patterns)

As for age, I'm only 20.5, so it shouldn't be a problem.

As Ebon said, try mass building exercises too. Try to keep your reps between 8-12, multiple sets, but high enough intensity so you're hitting MF by 8-10 and those last 2 are killers.

Thicken the wall, build the muscle, drop the bodyfat.

As for age, no one can attest better (in my opinion) to age being an irrelevent factor as well as Cursor can. (Check his pics out if you want some serious proof!!)

I realize that's not an issue for you (you stated you're 20), but I still wanted to toss that out there.

As for abilities, potential, etc., re: your age, hormonally speaking in terms of influence, you're fine, so that is not or should not be an issue with you.
