Running a mile
In 4 weeks, do you think I can go from running one full lap without stopping to running 4 full laps without stopping?
If not, how long you guys think? Weeks...months..

How long does it take you now and how fast do you run?
Most novice programs do a one minute progression in time running per week. Can you run it then walk for a minute and then run it again and walk for a minute repeatedly for 4 laps ?

Haven't tried it like that. I basically do one full lap at best I can, walk once I hit my one lap mark, and go home . I don't like jogging. I like sprinting and burpees, but hate jogging.
But I want to be able to run a full mile without stopping. I'll try your one novice one minute progression program.
How fast do I jog? Moderate speed. Best word I could use. Not too fast, but not too slow. I haven't timed how long it takes to jog, but I will tonight or 2 morrow.

Next time you go out, run the track with one minute breaks 4 x. That way you will get used to the distance first. Then you can start skipping the walk breaks. It's quite a painless way to train for it.

Huh? I kind of missed what you said. Do you mean:
Run one full lap, walk one lap, run the next lap, and repeate like this till I hit a mile
OR
Run full lap, rest a minute(as in not walk or move at all), run full lap, rest a minute, run full lap, etc.
OR
Run one full lap, walk for 60 secs, run for a lap, walk for for 60 secs, run full lap.
Forgive my ignorance.

Not necessarily. Those who don't train smart get injured.

I would warm up if I were you, leave your ego at home. Its better to warm up than risk an injury.
