Running on treadmill

I have a question, when I run on the treadmill I run very close to the panel. Once I was using it and I then moved slighty lower and noticed it was more dificult. Is there a difference in your position when you run on the treadmill (either close to the control panel or in the middle or close to the end)?

thanks!!!

The only thing I know about running on the treadmill is don't stop without turning the machine off. Did that once and ended up in the lap of the chick on the abductor machine. Now I run outside (or try to run anyway).

hmmm maybe stopping on a moving treadmill isn't such a bad thing after all.

Many years ago when I went to the fitness center (where the treadmill incident occurred) the trainer there told me to use the middle of the machine. What their reasoning was - I don't know - but they insisted on it.
