Shooting pain at lower back/butt level

This problem cropped up a few monthes ago but subsided on its own. Returned now with a vengance and I'm wondering if anyones dealt with it before?

Started when I was with my last ex, she was living with her parents at the time and I had to sleep on the floor if I crashed at her place (I know I know, it was ridiculous). My "bed" was a blanket on the floor, me and then another blanket. I would wake up in the morning stretch and get this crippling and shooting pain. Originates from one point, centre (think spine) but lower than where you're back/butt meet. It would radiate out towards the edges of my butt and into my lower back. Literally would knock me on my feet.

Now its come back again (sans floor sleep time). I tinnnks dey call this the Ciatic (cyanic, cianic, I have no idea how to spell it) nerve(s)? Whatever it is I feel like the Robaxacet dolls trying to dance! Forces me to hobble around like the guy on the Zoso cover for a few minutes until I can stand the rest of the way up.

Back when I FIRST started weightlifting as in doing squats and deadlifts, and of course my form was crap, I was unloading the plates and as I was bending over to put a 45 down something happened in my right glute, I had tight and shooting pain in my lower-back right glute for over a month, and when it healed it would sometimes reappear out of nowhere, I didn't get it checked out or anything, all I did was strength train the correct way, and that problem hasn't popped-up again for years, thats my experiance with a similar problem, I also had another back issue from lifting too hard,(mid/upper back) and that took 6-months to heal, how did I heal it? more strength training, only I learned from my mistake and was MUCH smarter about it, haven't had anything reappear for quite a while now.

I would go see a chiropractor. It sounds like maybe a nerve is being pinched. These doctors can move things around so the nerve no longer is pinched and the pain is relieved.

sciatica - irritation of the sciatic nerve. you know it's that for a fact if you have trouble putting your weight on one leg. funny it happened after sleeping on the floor, though - that's what i do when my back acts up in order to clear it up.
