Shoulder exercise

can anyone tell me what the exercise is called where you have dumbells to your side and then lift them straight out palms facing down and never bending your arms? Is this a shoulder exercise?

Lateral raise.

Works your medial deltoid. Yes, it's a shoulder exercise.
