Move your butt more than you park it.

Garbage in, garbage out. Eat good food and feel good. Eat junk and get junky performance from your body.

Fitness does not come in a bottle, machine, or for a price of any kind. Sometimes these things can help, but absolutely nothing substitutes for hard work.

Avoid diet trends. Humans are omnivores, so act like it. Eat some of everything and you're on the trailhead of the right track.

If the exercise is hard to do, it's probably good for you. If it's easy, your body is not being challenged and therefore won't change.

This is really as simple and basic as it gets. Read the rest of the board for specific ideas and theories behind workouts.

Heard in mantra-like tones in fitness facilities around the globe... Seriously, fitness is about the things that Cougar mentioned. One more thing I feel though is that women should regularly overtrain their lower bodies using circuit training with non-resistance movements. It always seems to be about hip fat for women and although spotreducing is implausible at best, overtraining the muscles of the lower body will increase calorie expenditure and keep the area slimmer.
