Sleepy
Last night I was up until 1:00am working on my car I woke up at 4:30am. So now I am exhausted. I'm going to be exhausted all day and have a 12 hour shift to complete. I might have to run stairs all day to keep from falling asleep.
Do you workout when you haven't had enough sleep?
If so would you change wha you were planning to do?
What would you do?

Typically, I would drink a cup of coffee, especially if I am sitting in meetings or at my desk all day.
I would not try to do a weight workout, aerobics would be ok. I would watch how many starchy carbs I eat to prevent more sleepiness. Try and hit the hay early tonight.

Remember that something is better than nothing. How about 1 minute of pushups, 1 minute of BW squats, and 1 minute hold in the ab plank position. That will take 3 minutes and is an excellent example of something is better than nothing.
Don't get caught up in the "if I can't do it all then I'm not going to do anything at all" mentality.

It was more like "I don't want to exhaust my body." Than all or nothing. I was planning a 10-20-40-60 X 10 body weight routine before I didn't get any sleep. Now I am thinking I can get away with half it.
Lady C, sleep is only decided by when my daughters think i should got to sleep. LOL

If I was just up an hour or two late, then I'll still work out. But if I got less than 4-6 hours of sleep, and I'm exhausted, then I'll rest and nap instead of going to the gym.

I used to but kept getting hurt. Now if I'm exhausted or sleep deprived I choose not to workout.
Remember, this is to improve ourselves, not injure ourselves. If you are too tired to be safe, it's better to rest.

I keep a weird sleep schedule . I work out durring the middle of the night. Its 3:00am and I just got back from the gym and I will be up for a couple of hours. Caffeine pills work great for me when I am tired at work!
