Sore Feet

Hi there
I have a question concerning my feet. When I'm doing my aerobic exercise, either a group class or treadmill or elliptical, I am getting terribly burning on the soles of my feet. My shoes are only 8 weeks old and they are good quality Saucony trainers. I have tried gel padded socks, thin running socks and 100% cotton absorbent socks but the burning continues.
I have been given a clean bill of health from a doctor so athlete's foot isn't the cause.
Any ideas on how to prevent the burning or what could be causing it? It's really uncomfortable and sometimes I can't train the next day because of remaining skin surface soreness under the balls of my feet.
Got any new ideas for special socks, insoles, anything would be appreciated.
Thanks
Tina

When I used to run the roads I found Saucony's to be the best shoe for me, too!

If your doctor ruled out athletes foot or Plantar Fasciitis then it almost sounds to be a friction problem. Have you tried a regular running sock like Thorlo or Wigwam? Or possibly even a double layer sock (Wright Socks makes them)? The double layer might be your best bet.

Yup, there's no sign of athlete's foot or plantar fasciitis so I think it is definitely friction. I actually wear Wright Socks but I still get the burning and heat under my big toe and ball of my foot. I've never tried Thorlo though. I'll look for those and give them a go. Thanks for the input!
Happy running...:

Saucony's rock!
Omnis with an orthotic insert are my shoe of choice for running or working.
